Committees & Work Groups
The NHCPG consists of several committees and work groups. They include:
Data Assessment and Evaluation Workgroup (DAE)
The Data Assessment and Evaluation Workgroup (DAE) is charged with assessing HIV related data such as the State epidemiological profile, Ryan White Care data, etc. While striving to ensure compliance with CDC and HRSA requirements, it also assesses evaluation methods used in HIV Prevention and Care. In addition to providing assistance in developing and implementing needs assessments, the DAE helps to facilitate presentations to the CPG of State epidemiological data as well as other relevant and current research findings.
Membership, Mission, and By-Laws Committee
Membership Mission and By-Laws Committee (MMB) is responsible for maintaining familiarity with the By-Laws and to provide guidance to ensure that CPG operates within the By-Laws. The committee proposes revisions to the By-Laws to the full planning group as needed. MMB recruits and interviews potential members with attention to the need to maintain appropriate representation of populations impacted by the epidemic, and of behavioral science and epidemiology. The MMB monitors the main body to ensure that the CPG is operating in line with the CDC Community Planning Core Process Objectives.
Care Committee
The Care Committee seeks to promote, through an ongoing informed participatory process, effective care services in the State of New Hampshire in order to improve the quality of life of persons living with HIV/AIDS. As a planning group we strive to reflect in our composition the characteristics of the HIV epidemic. The group is comprised of care service providers and consumer and community representatives from across the state. The primary goals of the Care Committee are to:
- Identify Care Service Gaps
- Identify unmet needs for those with HIV
- Prioritize HIV Care services and funding
- Review the Care Comprehensive Plan
Prevention Committee
The Prevention Committee, along with the Care Committee, conducts relevant needs assessments, gaps analyses, and helps develop the resource inventory. The Prevention Committee prioritizes target populations and recommends potential HIV prevention interventions and strategies. As with all CPG members, members of the Prevention Committee have the ultimate responsibility of developing, reviewing, and editing the CPG Comprehensive Plan, as well as determining the level of concurrence between the CPG Comprehensive Plan and that put forth by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
Steering Committee
Steering Committee is made up of the Vice-Chairs and committees chairs along with STD/HIV Section Staff. This committee acts as a liaison between STD/HIV Section and the CPG. The committee is responsible (in conjunction the STD/HIV Section for oversight of CPG activities, develop meeting agendas, etc.
